And his foot steps are uneven  His breath white as he exhales into the cool air   
Voices from the fog whisper his past, present, and future  An over-thinker by nature  Anxiety has taken its toll on him   
Steam escapes from the lid of the coffee cup in his hand  Trading in one addiction for another   
This moment in time is all that matters  Those thoughts silence the whispering fog for a moment   
And then there’s quiet  The sound of breath  
The silent ticking of thought  It starts to rain  And he smiles
