My universeI walk down a block that has become so familiar, it is unreal. The church on the corner with it’s dull stucco finish. The time worn cross, blazing white against the infinite blue sky. It stretches its arms to the sky, as if to warm them in its caressing light. This block, with its lush green grass, old cement with cracks down its spine, moss and small flowers growing, growing. I ask myself if maybe I am alone in this universe. I alone see its infinite beauty, its soul, its life. I breathe in the scent of the wild flowers, rejoicing at their simple beauty.
